Organic Cinnamon

The Wellness properties in cinnamon are thought to be due to the variety of oils found in its bark.  Just smelling cinnamon has shown to improve brain activity especially in the areas of memory, attention & motor skills.   Cinnamon’s oil content has shown promise in helping to prevent insulin resistance & enhance insulin activity thereby improving the regulation of blood sugar.  The oil has also been studied for its help in preventing blood clots & specific anti-inflammatory properties.   Additionally, cinnamon is a source of calcium and fibre, both of which work together to improve digestive function and lower cholesterol levels, helping to prevent cardiovascular disease.  We include cinnamon in our Heart Smart biscuits for the obvious cardiovascular and blood sugar reasons, but its benefits extend far beyond.
